Our Champion: Ollie’s Remarkable Journey
Meet our beautiful boy, Ollie — Champion Rubyanlo Close Call — a long coat Chihuahua whose journey from a difficult start to the top of his breed has truly captured our hearts.
Every champion has a story, and Ollie’s is one of resilience, love, and new beginnings.
Ollie began his life in a pet home, but sadly, it wasn’t the happiest start, as he didn’t receive the kindness and care every dog deserves. When circumstances changed for his family, Ollie was returned to us — and that moment marked the beginning of a brand new chapter.
Our daughter, Ruby, immediately saw something special in him. With patience, gentle handling, and plenty of love, she began teaching Ollie how to show. Under her care, his confidence blossomed, and his natural charm and elegance began to shine.
Ollie made his debut at the Manchester Championship Show at Stafford in January 2024, where he made a wonderful impression. Just a few months later, in April 2024, he achieved his first Challenge Certificate (CC) at the Chihuahua Club of Scotland, followed by his second CC at the Midland Chihuahua Club, and his third and crowning CC at the West of England Ladies Kennel Association — all within the same month!
From that moment on, Ollie continued to go from strength to strength, earning an incredible 13 CCs and being crowned Top Long Coat Chihuahua 2024.
From a difficult beginning to standing proudly as a champion, Ollie’s story is a true testament to his courage, beautiful temperament, and the wonderful partnership he shares with Ruby.
We are beyond proud of all they have achieved together — Ollie truly embodies everything we strive for in our dogs: beauty, character, and heart.
